Any responsible legislature acting in the best interests of its electorate would take this step. That Westminster is proposing a clawback of legislative authority from our National Assembly is a constitutional outrage -- particularly after the guarantee of "permanence" set out in section 1 of the Wales Act enacted by Westminster only last year. And the cynical way in which the Westminster government has tried to use the Brexit legislation as cover for this sleight of hand should cause deep offence to all committed democrats. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MERITS OR OTHERWISE OF BREXIT. Any clawback of powers is unacceptable. The Welsh and Scottish Governments should stand shoulder-to-shoulder on this and not weaken.

Dengys yr erthygl hon rywbeth pwysig iawn. Mae gwahanol fath o Dorïod. Does dim angylion nac ellyllon, does dim drwg na da. Mae hyn am ddewisiadau unigolion o fewn pleidiau, boed Ceidwadol neu arall. Gallo dynion fel Dominic Grieves yn bobl dda a brwydro dros ddemocratiaeth Barliamentarïaidd, tra bo'r Rees-Moggion yn, wel, llawn o ddirmyg o'r syniad trin Cymru a'r Alban fel cenhedloedd.

That's the kind of fighting talk we want to hear from PC. If there's to be a constitutional crisis then bring it on. Well done to Stefan for having the foresight to call for the Bill and great to see all parties in support. Diolch yn fawr iawn. Dal ati!

Excellent points and I'm delighted to see this initiative going ahead. A constitutional crisis is no bad thing. Confronting the Westminster government is healthy. It took Steffan and his colleagues to do this, to force Labour into action.

Excellent post. May I applaud your stance against the undemocratic intentions of an ever increasing intellectally impoverished Tory government. A Tory government intent on ruining the devolved status of our two nations. Wales and Scotland.
