Trump and Starmer sign tech deal to mark ‘new era’ for UK-US relationship

No one in the tame media challenged the ridiculous claims being made here by Trump. No doubt they were thinking about the exclusion of the Australian Broadcasting Company from the press conferences at Trump’s insistence after one of their reporters asked him a question he didn’t like before leaving on this visit. This is not good news for the UK despite the efforts being made to spin it as such. I cannot understand why Starmer is so desperate to grovel to Trump that he will cripple Britain by selling out our services to American big tech. Trump himself is financially reliant on these oligarchs who have been allowed to access US government records and other information for their own profit. Palantir are instrumental in supporting the current Israeli government in committing war crimes, including the destruction and devastation of Gaza, and the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians, including children and medical staff. In the UK, Palantir is desperate to expand its access to NHS records to share with “US big Pharma” as part of the privatisation of the health service. We do not want a US style service for the rich here. In addition, there has been a long running campaign US by big tech against the digital services tax and against efforts to protect vulnerable users, including children, online. It is clear Starmer intends to sell Britain out over this too.
