Starmer says Trump’s state visit to go ahead and hopes it will be this year

Sir Keir Starmer said Donald Trump’s second state visit to the UK will go ahead but could not confirm it will happen this year.

The Prime Minister handed the US president an invitation letter from the King for an unprecedented second state visit at the White House in February.

Sir Keir was asked if Mr Trump was coming in September.

“He’ll be coming in, obviously, the palace will organise the dates, but President Trump will be coming for his state visit,” he told Bloomberg.

Relationship

Asked if it would be this year, he said: “I hope so, yes.

“I don’t want to take over the job of the palace. It’s their job to set out exactly the dates of the invitation.

“But I’m really pleased that we will be able to showcase the close relationship we have between the UK and the US. That’s historically a close relationship.

“This will be a historic second visit for President Trump and we’re all looking forward to welcoming him here.”

WHY.Trump by his words and actions could well bring about global conflict ! King Charles should postpone ANY state visit until Trump shows some respect for the Law and democracy!!

If Starmer is foolish enough to allow this to go ahead , he will find the response will be civil unrest! WE do NOT want this Child molesting Felon her and are laws are suppose to prohibit entry to convicted Criminals!He has at least 34 Writs against him, he is only still free because of constant appeals and the fact he managed to wrangle his way to the Presidency with Elon Musk's money and manipulation.He is tearing his own Country apart, he is a descendant of a German Nazi immigrant .seems to be determined to bring the third Reich to American soil,

Rather than protest - which will be heavily policed and segregated from Trump anyway - wouldn't it would be far better if everyone just completely ignored him? Empty streets and ideally no TV coverage (though of course that won't happen). Ignoring him will send a far bigger message to a man obsessed with his image and self-importance.
