Mayzee Davies returns for Wales' World Cup qualifying double-header

Manchester City defender Mayzee Davies returns to the Wales squad for a World Cup qualifying double-header against Albania after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury in May 2025.

Olivia Clark misses out through injury and uncapped pair Lucy Farrell-Shrouder and Poppy Soper join Manchester United’s Safia Middleton-Patel as head coach Rhian Wilkinson’s goalkeeping options.

Wales, who took four points from opening World Cup qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro last month, host Albania at Wrexham on April 14 before travelling to play the same opponents in Elbasan four days later.
